Overview

CADRE Corporation represents the highest evolution of seven generations of Bay Area builders.  The company, founded in 2006, strives to provide full service land development and real estate services to both new and seasoned investors. 

With more than 100 years of experience in the greater San Jose area, CADRE is a trusted and knowledgeable resource. CADRE specializes in residential construction, property sales, asset management, commercial construction and the construction of cellular communications facilities.

History

CADRE draws on deep roots to accomplish its objectives.  Founder Matthew Bothwell, a Santa Clara MBA, certified California Broker and CA licensed contractor, represents the seventh generation in his family that has trekked into the building industry.

Matthew Bothwell’s great grandfather, Bruce, began the family tradition in the late 1800's as one of the first builders of the Historic San José State Universiy campus. The Bothwell’s continued in the trades, operating a number of sucessfull construction businesses throughout the 20^th century. 

By the 1970's, Gordon Bothwell Sr. along with his son Glenn had developed a sucessfull concrete construction company that was instrumental in building local public works projects including sidewalks and storm drains throughout the rapidly growing silicon valley.  The family name is literally etched in San José sidewalks and on drainage systems throughout downtown Willow Glen and along Highway 87. 

Eager to improve upon past sucesses, Glenn Bothwell and his wife Kathy Bothwell, spun off their own business, and entered into the exclusive telecommunications market, founding Glen A. Bothwell Construction in 1985. In the 25 years since, the company has raised more than 500 cellular communications facilities on behalf of major market players, such as Nextel, Verizon Wireless and Cingular.

Over the years the Bothwell family have also been active real estate developers. They have forged new communites in the Sierra Nevada's and on the Baja penninsula. They have also operated locally, developing industrial parks in San Jose and estate properties in Morgan Hill CA.

This rich family history of entreprenurial spirit and technical expertise had created an incredible incubator for the latest Bothwell venture, CADRE Corporation.
